Jesse and Jake were married on August 9th in what Jesse was calling a “monsoon”! I couldn’t have agreed more! As I drove to the Popponessett it was raining so hard that I couldn’t see more than a car in front of me! Miraculously though, the rain stopped just in time for the festivities! It was still whipping wind, but ALL that matters is that we could get outside for some pictures – even if the wind practically blew us over and sand was flying horizontally through the air:)!!Look at the seas!! Crazy!Jesse made her own guest book with the images from our engagement session – beautiful:)!I LOVED her table cards – a little message in a bottle! As I mentioned, Jesse arrived with her girls and the rains stopped – someone was looking out for her:)!In the bridal room the girls did a little touch-up and helped Jesse get the dress on!This is Jesse with her sister – two awesome girls!Loved her program display…We did a few pictures of the girls and guys before the ceremony – separately and covered:)!The ceremony began with an adorable flower girl:)! Jesse’s uncle officiated – such a personal touch! It was a very emotional walk up the isle for Jesse – the tears began to flow again during their vows! Love that bracelet too:)!
Jesse and Jake wrote their own vows – I absolutely love when people do this – I actually don’t see it done that often but I wish that people would do it more – such a personal and emotional feel! After the ceremony we braved the beach for some bridal party and couple pictures – It truly was an adventure but TOTALLY worth it – the pictures are fantastic!! I just love that hint of misty-ness too them!Back inside after family pictures, the reception began!
Great entrances:)Awesome speeches by all, but I honestly think Dana has the timing to be a stand up comedian:)!One of the best, if not THE best father daughter dances! They started off for a second with a slow song to trick us and then busted into a choreographed dance! It was awesome! Jesse and her mother are dancers and dance teachers, but her father has never been a part of that world – on this day, he jumped right in – anything for his little girl:)!At the end, they grabbed mom and Dana! Awesome! After the dances we grabbed a couple shots out front together…Then the party began!!Many of the guest are part of Jesse’s dancing world – there were several choreographed dances that went with a few songs – so much fun to watch:)!Towards the end of the night, Jesse and Jake wanted pictures with the dunes/fence and there was a spotlight on them – we headed over there and then turned to find an audience….That turned into an impromptu group shot of our onlookers – so awesome!!Final dance was a perfect end to a perfect day!
Jesse and Jake – congratulations to you both! The day was phenomenal and so are the two of you!!
