Jen & Pat | Wedding at Lake Pearl Lucianos

Jen and Pat are back and the preview of their fantastic day is here:)!  This was a wedding that I was SO looking forward to because I love this group of people! I got to know Jen and her friends back in 2011 when I photographed Liz and Jay’s wedding at Ocean Edge Resort (click to flashback to their super fun and fabulous wedding).  Jen was Liz’s Maid of Honor and now Liz was Jen’s Matron of Honor! I can NOT believe that it has been almost four years since that day!

Jen and Pat’s day turned out as fun and fabulous as Liz’s – both having clear sunny skies, great weather and a super fun party:)!

Our day started at Jen’s family’s home while the girls got ready…

This is Liz and Jay’s daughter and the flower girl for the day:)Jen got ready in her parents formal living room…we had a conversation about this room and how my family had one too! It was the room you were not allowed to go in when you were kids! The amazing thing is that we had almost the same exact couches in our room too!Stunning – the whole look pulled together beautifully and was perfect for Jen!Three fantastic ladies! Meaghan and Liz served as Maid and Matron’s of Honor! I think this is my third wedding with these girls and I just love them!! After some time with the girls at Jen’s house, I met the guys at the church – including this little cutie – Pat’s nephew, who was the ring bearer (if you couldn’t tell;)!I don’t think I mentioned that these ladies are from Foxboro – my hometown – and this was my childhood church:)! I didn’t know them back in the day because I am  wee-bit older – just a wee-bit;)These two hit it off – someday I may be photographing their wedding – they seriously loved each other:)!Father Steve Madden returned to the church to do their ceremony – he is my favorite:)

After some bridal party pictures on the grounds of Lake Pearl Lucianos, we headed down to the lake with Just Jen and Pat…
My favorite spot at Lake Pearl is the lake at sunset – just gorgeous down there!Lake Pearl has done a ton of renovations and the boat house is one area where they made big changes – it looks great and has so many new ways to use it for pictures!

The party kicked off with their intro – which led into double dutch – When I think of this group, I think of this:)! They did it during the dancing at Liz and Jay’s and it was the first time I had seen anyone do imaginary double dutch ropes:)!I mentioned before that these two were in love – they were dancing together even before the intros AND during the first dance:)!

Cake cutting! I love the remodels that they have done to Lake Pearl – everything looks great – especially the new wall paper:)!
Foxboro (and husbands:)!
Jen’s father-daugther dance started slow and jumped into a fun Foot Loose! Then the night was off to the races and never stopped!  There are A TON of dancing photos below – it was one of Jen and Pat’s only requests:)This is Jen’s grandmother in HEELS dancing the entire night away – it was absolutely amazing! She reminded me of my grandmother and I just wanted to run over an hug her! They did an anniversary dance to honor Jen’s grandparents – and they were of course the final couple on the dance floor and married the longest!
The bottom left picture is of Meaghan and her Dad – I love Meghan and her parents are just as fabulous!!Watch Me Whip – my new FAVORITE!!My three fabulous couples!! Andrea and Zach just celebrated two years and Liz and Jay four!!I heart Meaghan:)!We thought this was the final dance and we even snuck in a fun group shot but….Then we were treated to a couple of Irish songs to end the night – pure awesomeness! The night truly ended with a couple of buses to get everyone safely home:)!

Jen and Pat – I am honored that you chose me to be a part of your day! It couldn’t have been any better:)!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

My grandparents sharing a dance celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary.  My 88 and 86-year old grandparents did this flawlessly, and my grandmother did so in heels! Also, my uncle singing “Wild Rover” at the end of the night was really fun.

What was your favorite detail?

We did a vintage theme and had many fun decorations to go with it, including old suitcases.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

I know that many people don’t like to have kids at their wedding, but having a flower girl and ring bearer made the day so much more special and relaxed.  I had the flower girl and some of my bridesmaids’ babies around while we were getting ready for the day. You can’t get stressed out when their are babies and kids around, and it helps to keep everything in perspective.  Seeing them on the dance floor was priceless!

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

The dance floor.  It was packed all night, and my father got the dance party started with his fast-foot work during Footloose.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Not a thing!
