Jen and Chris tied the knot on the HOTTEST day of our summer (if it wasn’t THE hottest, it was definitely ONE of the hottest:)! Regardless of the heat, it was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple!
The Publick House in Sturbridge, MA was the venue for every aspect of their day – from the getting ready to the final song of the evening! When I arrived, I spent some time looking for the best spots for us to do the first look and all of our pictures! I had been to this venue before, but not on a day when finding shade was the top priority:)
When I arrived up to check in with Jen, she was in full make-up and hair mode:) Her dress was hanging and she had all of her details out and ready for me:)One of Jen’s bridesmaids actually did her hair, and she was fantastic at it! So fast and Jen looked gorgeous! It is a lot of pressure to do your friend’s hair on her day (even when it is your day job), and she handled it beautifully:)!Super cute tank tops – another etsy find:)!While the girls were in the main building, the guys had the cottage up the hill…I headed up there to check in with them and capture a bit of Chris getting ready! As I walked up the hill I spotted this groomsman (John) entering the cottage and even from a far, I knew that I recognized him:)! He was the best man at Christine and Mike’s wedding at the Aldrich Mansion (click to see their day and many familiar faces from this wedding too:)! Christine and Mike are the reason that Jen and Chris found me:) I love getting to see so many familiar faces at weddings!Back in the girl’s room in the main building of the Publick House, Jen’s sisters and mother helped her into her dress and details!Jen and her beautiful mom – such a sweet person! Before Jen’s first look with her soon-to-be husband, we had a first look with her father…another fantastic guy!Her father led her to the first look where Chris was waiting…and I just love the series of interactions! I heart fun socks:)After the first look a few pictures in that shady spot, we move to the next shady spot:) We didn’t even realize how cool the shade was actually keeping us until we entered the ceremony;)During this time we squeezed in all of the family formals too! Here are their fabulous families:)!Over at the tent, the guests were beginning to arrive and the details were in place:)After their ceremony, Jen and Chris greeted their guests in a receiving line…
while their flower girl and ring bearer had a little fun:)They are adorable and were fantastic the whole day!! They are Chris’s niece and nephew:)Jen had a personal “fanner” during the receiving line! She so kindly fanned her while she hugged and greeted everyone:)!After cocktail hour, the reception kicked off with a bang:)After the beginning formalities, we snuck out for a few moments alone:)Back inside it was time to cut the cake and have the parent dances. These couples represent my past, present and future:) On the left is my future couple (can’t wait:), in the middle is the present parents of the groom and on the right are my past clients:)!! A nighttime view of the Publick House tent:)
Once the formalities were over, the dancing really began:)! I love the “Sweets” sign that went on their candy bar table!Photobooth fun)! Jam as many friends in as you can:)!!
Jen and Chris – Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your day! I enjoyed every part of it – even being sweaty;) Congrats (and good luck with the new school year Jen)!
