Stacy and Matt were married on a beautiful day in September, at the Portsmouth Country Club – the sun peeked in and out throughout the day, and it wasn’t too hot or too cold:)!
I met Stacy’s father at the hotel, while the girls were finishing up at the salon…He let me into the room so that I could get a few pictures of her details before we needed to get them on!
When Stacy and her girls arrived, it was just about time to get their dresses on…
From the moment they walked in from the salon, I knew it was going to be a great day! They were so light-hearted and full of laughter – not a stressful moment though out the whole day:)!
When the girls were ready, we headed to the Portsmouth Country Club to meet up with Matt and the guys for their first look!
We had chosen this beautiful spot at the entrance because of the foliage and look of the trees, but we soon found out we had to deal with quite a few cars:)! They were all very polite though and it all worked out:)!
On the left is Stacy’s maid-of-honor and on the right is Matt’s sister – and the reason that I photographed this wedding:)! Katie, or as I first met her – Dr. Marino, is a pediatrician, in our network! Whenever I get to go into her office, we always get to chat! We share a love of photography:)!
During our first-look time, we did all of the bridal party pictures and the majority of the couple “formals” too!
The ceremony began with Stacy’s nephews helping with the programs!
I love when all of the guests choose to have a seat! You can get a beautifully symmetrical picture like this one below! Sometimes there are some stragglers, standing around in the back and it throws off the beautiful look:)!
After family pictures we did just a few more of Stacy and Matt – now that they are officially married:)!
The reception began with intros and their first dance and we were off and running!
The dance floor was full for almost the whole evening:)!
There was even a “Sweet Caroline” battle….
which ended with some great shots of Stacy and Matt coming together:)!

Bride/Groom Questions
What was the most memorable moment of your day? It was incredible to have our families and friends together in one place. Walking down the aisle and saying our vows made that very real and emotional.
Any advice for future brides/grooms? Remember that you are celebrating your marriage and the love you share, not just a wedding.
What was your favorite detail? There are two: My grandmother’s ring was my ‘something borrowed’ and my father built an amazing arbor that Matt and I were married under.
Funniest memory from your wedding day? My maid of honor made a wonderfully thoughtful (and entertaining) toast. But she completely stumped me with one question: Name the identical gift we had exchanged one Christmas. (It was a CD – The Monkees Greatest Hits)
If you could do it all over, would you change anything? It really was a perfect day although we would have loved spending more one on one time with everyone!
Where did you go on your honeymoon? Florence, Rome & Sorrento Italy
