Laura and Steve (aka. Woody) | Wedding at the Highfields Golf and Country Club

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Laura and Steve’s wedding! I had the pleasure of meeting Laura when she was a maid-of-honor in her BF Diane’s wedding! Since that day, Laura has been such a laid back and easy going bride and it continued right through the final moments of her reception!  When I arrived at the house, hair and make-up were well underway!
I have been loving hairspray pictures lately:)!!While the girls were wrapping up inside, I brought all of Laura’s details outside to be photographed…Laura and Steve’s little pup was at her mom’s house and of course pictures of their first-born is a must! When it was time to get the dress on, the girls and mom pitched in! The back of Laura’s dress was a lace-up style which takes a village (and a bit of time:)!Laura’s mom was so helpful and efficient – she actually put on Laura’s shoes! Most mom’s don’t bend down once dressed – we usually leave that up to one of the girls! There was an audience for the ladies….Outside we did some photos of the girls before I left to meet with the guys at the church! The guys were hysterical – they were already ready for some dancing before the ceremony even began – I just love a fun group:)!!As were were driving to Highfields Country Club, the rain began. Amazingly it stopped for us as soon as we arrived.  In all of about 12 minutes, we squeezed in multiple bridal party combinations and pictures of Laura and Steve before we had to run for cover when the rain started again! We were short on time, but very efficient:)!
Do you see the happiness in both of them – they are amazing people and always smiling!!Before the entrances, the grandparents were announced from their seat and they were so cute! This is her mother’s parents and her grandmother stood up with such excitement to wave to everyone! So proud!!
The awesome parents and beautiful cake! All of the entrances were so much fun…I nearly fell over when their friends began performing their wedding song….They chose, Tangled Up In You, by Aaron Lewis and I am a huge fan of his! It is my first couple to have this song as their first dance! Their friend that performed it was unbelievable – he sounded JUST like him! These are obviously their rings, but they are on top of a cork that held the place cards. I used the cork because I knew how much work Steve had put into making these the week of the wedding! We were laughing about it at our meeting so I knew it was perfectly fitting:)!These are both sets of Laura’s grandparents! Then the party began and it was quite the party!!These are two of the best pictures of a bouquet toss – they crack me up every time I see them! These next couple images were deemed by Laura and Steve as the funniest moment of the night and let me tell you it was:)! There are SO many more images in their gallery of how it all went down, but here is a glimpse of a half naked Steve! The final dance of the night was full of energy and led into – just “one more song”!This is what happened during the real final song – a perfect ending to a happy day!

Mr. and Mrs. Woodland – congratulations!! You are two of the most genuine people that I have had the pleasure of capturing – I wish you the best!
