Jess and Pete were married on the last Saturday of July and it was a beautiful one! It was a completely local day for me, which is rare! We spent some time in Mansfield, Norton, Easton, Plainville and Wretham over the course of the day:)! The day started at a Mansfield hotel getting ready before we headed off to the church! I love this picture of Jess and her sister when she poked her head in for just a minute! As you can see it was a tight squeeze and this hotel does not have ANY windows in their rooms – it is a bit crazy – and not the best lighting for a photographer but we made it work:)!This group of guys were so happy, outgoing and welcoming from the moment I walked in to their suite:)!When we arrived at the church, it was beautiful! A very unique design and the polar opposite of the hotel – there was natural light galore:)!This little guy was so cute! During the ceremony, he would clap after each of the readers and say, “Good job, why isn’t anyone clapping?!” He was cracking me up!After the ceremony, everyone loaded onto the party bus and we headed out for some pictures. This is from one of the family photos – Jess’s brother was unable to make it because he is deployed, their mom brought a photo of him and we included him in all of the family pictures…After our family and bridal party pictures at the park, we did some pictures of the two of them before heading to the next spot:)!Our next stop was their home! This was a first for me! It is very rare to be in the area of your home and also have the time to make a few stops! We had to stop by their home for pictures with Ryu, their dog! He was also included in their engagement picture when he was just a puppy, so it was crazy for me to see how BIG he had gotten!! Still a happy guy though:)!At Lake Pearl I was able to grab some detail shots before heading down to the beach with Jess and Pete!Jess made the “R” herself and the guest book too:)!I just love the socks the guys wore – including Pete! The reception began with a bang:)! The was a lot of time on that party bus and they were all ready to party:)!!Everything slowed down a minute for their first dance, but there was still a bit of cheering for their newly married friends!
Jess’s sister and Pete’s brother were the best men and maid-of-honor and each gave toasts…How much do mother and son look alike in this top left picture – absolutely adorable:)! The guy on the top right with Pete was the “photo-bomber” of the evening:)I was in love with Pete’s sister Maria, dancing with their dad – they were adorable together!! I told her that when she gets married they definitely need to mix a slow song with a fast song – their dancing HAS to be in their special dance together – it is fantastic:)!I normally do not get too emotional at weddings that I am photographing – I am totally zoned in on what I am photographing and my mind is on making great photographs BUT this was a total exception. Jess and her family were able to connect with her brother on Skype. It was so emotional to watch her and her family and so many of the guests interact with him, dance with him and sing with him. The DJ played a song that Jess picked out and also one of the more popular, “Proud to be an American”, songs – I was legitimately crying – not just a single tear but really crying as I captured it all…Jess danced with her dad and Pete danced with his mother….and they ended their dances by pulling in Pete’s little brother and sister to dance with them – it was absolutely adorable! There were a few table antics led by the dj, before the open dancing began:)!Jess and Pete – congratulations to you both – neighbors:)! I never realized that we lived THAT close to each other:)! I wish you the best and hope you are having a great time on your second honeymoon:)!!
