In late July, I headed to Crystal Lake Country Club for the first time! Holly and Mike had chosen it for their wedding and we had been waiting on this day for quite a while! I arrived early to take a peek around the property…This was the first view that I saw when I got to the ceremony location – just gorgeous! I spent a bit of time photographing all of their details before Holly and her girls arrived to get their dresses on!
Holly made all of the signs, jams, and details herself! She insisted on bringing her mother’s tea set and it was such a nice added touch!Once upstairs, the ladies got into their dresses and then helped Holly into hers! When Mike arrived, I grabbed a few pictures of him before I headed over to the ceremony location to wait for his boat arrival! The limo took Holly and the ladies over to the ceremony site…Holly’s mother walked her up the isle and she was absolutely adorable when asked, “Who is giving Holly away?” She raised her hands shook him in a little dance and said, “I do”!
After we wrapped up some pictures on the other side of the lake, we headed back over to the Country Club side for some family pictures and more couple time!
When the party began – it kicked off for the night:)!
Holly and Mike – congratulations!! I wish the two of you the best (and I hope all of the construction wraps up quickly:)!

Bride/Groom Questions
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
When I was looking into my husband’s face as he recited his vows was an unbelievable moment. That is when this whole “wedding” experience became very real.It was incredible to see all of our favorite people gathered together in one place!
What was your favorite detail?
My Dad passed away recently and we wrapped my bouquet, as well as my two bridesmaid’s bouquets, in fabric from handkerchiefs that my Dad carried every day. I thought a lot about this as I was walking down the aisle. Also, our recessional song was “Could You Be Loved?” By Bob Marley, which honored my husband’s Jamaican heritage and set the tone for our special evening-a relaxed party!
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
People told me that my wedding will go by in a flash and they were right! Try to savor each moment. We stepped back for a second and just watched, feeling joyful.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
The introductions for the wedding party were really funny. Each member was introduced with their own special song, unbeknownst to them! But, they just ran with it and danced!
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
No! Everything, whether it materialized as perfect or not, was perfect in my eyes because I was marrying my best friend.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
The Bucuti and Tara Resort in Aruba-AMAZING!
