2016 has arrived and I had the pleasure of kicking off the season with a family that I just worked with last year! Jamie and Brian were married on May 7th at Granite Links Country Club in Quincy, MA, after a long week of some terrible wet weather:( We were so lucky that we actually ended up with the best day of the week! Although it was a bit brisk and foggy, the rain held off at the times that we wanted it to and we had a fabulous day:)
When I arrived to the Quincy Marriott, where everyone was getting ready, I checked in with Jamie and photographed her details…The collar stays on the right, were a gift from Jamie to her father…I became covered in goosebumps as Jamie’s mother told me about them…they are engraved with her grandmother’s handwriting…such a thoughtful keepsake. After just a bit, I popped up to the guys room to check in and catch Brian getting ready. While Brian was getting dressed, Jamie was finishing up in the make-up chair! When it was time to get Jamie’s dress on, we scooted to a quieter room with a little less action. Jamie’s father was her dress expert…I believe he may be my first father to be the dress expert and he was excellent at his job:)! A couple last minute touch-ups… and a little help from mom:) Three generations of ladies and such a fabulous family! We met Brian on the Marriott grounds for a first look and the weather cooperated:) We spent just a couple minutes in the courtyard doing just a few pictures before meeting everyone on the bus for the ride over to Granite Links! When we arrived to Granite Links, we squeezed in some bridal party photos and a few of Jamie and Brian before heading indoors…it was a bit chilly – especially for the girls:)I first met Jamie and Brian at her brother and now sister-inlaw’s wedding at the end of last summer. Craig and Alex are on the far left below…Click here to see their wedding and take a peek at Jamie and Brian in their wedding too:)! A lot of excitement for this family in the last year!
As the bridal party headed in, we spent just another couple minutes together moving towards the building…
They finished our trip inside with a quick golf cart ride up the hill:)
Once inside, we spent some time doing our family formals…and then a few more (warmer) minutes with just Jamie and Brian!
I am in love with these couches that Granite Links has in their ballroom! Everyone got tucked into the bridal suite and the ceremony was set to begin… While Jamie and Brian greeted everyone in the receiving line, I spent some time in cocktail hour and capturing the gorgeous room set up and awaiting the guests! Jamie and Brian only danced alone for about 30 seconds, then the bridal party joined them and then the guest were invited…by the end of their song, the floor looked like this and the stage was set for a night of dancing with a fantastic band (names and details to come:)Brian’s brother and Jamie’s Maid-of-Honor both gave FANTASTIC speeches!
I am always excited when the Hora is part of the evening…so much fun and excitement! I learned that this is Jamie and Brian’s signature photo…Normally, Brian scoops her up without any assistance, but with that dress, we asked for a couple helping hands:)Before I headed out, we headed out for a quick night shot:)
Jamie and Brian – thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! It was fantastic to see everyone again so soon!
Have an AWESOME honeymoon:)!
