Last weekend, I met Sarah and Andy in Newport for their engagement session! Our date had been booked for months and when the date arrived the weather worked out perfectly! It was a bit chilly, but it was sunny with the most beautiful clouds – even after an overcast morning!
Sarah is the younger sister of a friend of mine, so when I heard from her, I was excited! I have had the opportunity to photograph my friend Rebecca’s family, their brother Jason’s family and now Sarah’s too:) Unfortunately, it turns out that there isn’t even a possibility for me to be a part of their actual wedding day, because I am traveling, but when she said that she absolutely still wanted to do an engagement session, I was ecstatic!
With Andy being in the Coast Guard, they had visions of lighthouses for their session….we talked about a few different options, but in the end, Newport seemed to be the perfect spot! Take a peek at our time together traveling around Newport! We even snuck in a few Coast Guard photos when we passed a base in Newport! It worked out so perfectly:)!
Sarah & Andy – best of luck to you with all of the planning and on January 14th! I wish that I could have been a part of it!

How did you meet and/or How did he propose | Andy was stationed in San Diego, CA, when I went on vacation with my roommates in 2010. We met out one night in Pacific Beach. After years of e-mails, phone calls, vacations in Jersey and weddings, a trip to Alaska solidified the relationship. He proposed on NYE in the home of the couple who introduced us. As the ball dropped down to midnight Andy dropped down to one knee. We are so excited!
