You may recognize Laura and Chris from their engagement session at the beginning of the summer…I was raving about how FABULOUS they are to work with and I was SO looking forward to their wedding day! It was going to be my first wedding at the Wequassett Resort in Chatham and I was blown away by the resort as soon as I entered their property! Every part of the resort is absolutely stunning…gorgeous Cape Cod style buildings, unbelievable landscaping and an incredible ocean view! This was honestly one of the hardest previews that I have had to do….There are so many fantastic pictures that I had a hard time choosing a variety that gave you an overview of the day while showcasing this beautiful location and of course the beautiful couple….I could share the whole gallery on here!!
Laura spent the early afternoon getting ready on the premises of the resort, while Chris was about 10 minutes away at his parents home.
As Laura got into her dress, the day was quickly beginning! I just love the look on her face in this picture as her bridal party (and Mom) surround her!
Laura’s mom was fantastic for the whole day! Very helpful, always smiling and friendly to everyone! We spent a lot of time chatting that day and I just loved her!!

Laura and Chris chose to have a “first-look” and later ceremony. They had private meeting on the porch before we moved onto more pictures of the two of them and with the bridal party.
If you had read their engagement session post, you would know that Laura and Chris reside in New York City. They are actors and actually met while being thrown together on stage. They are just so comfortable with each other and absolutely in love.
When the ceremony began Laura and her dad made a grand entrance from above and then wound down the path to the ceremony spot below…It was incredible…
The ceremony takes place on a lower level, directly near the water.
The ceremony was one of the longest outdoor ceremonies that I have photographed. Laura and Chris trully personalized the entire ceremony from reading letters to each other, to personal vows, and to a special guest participation where they all wrote a word to the bride and groom. There was laughter and some crying….it was an emotional ceremony that displayed how much Laura and Chris care for each other.
As we exited the ceremony, I was able to grab these impromptu shots of the bridal party (before all the guests followed them up the stairs!)…They are two of my favorites!
We did all of the family formals and grabbed a couple more of the newly married couple!
The reception began with a bang!
and led into the first dance.
The beginning of the reception was also kicked off by speeches galore!! There was a father blessing, two best men speeches and two maids of honor that spoke!
This next picture is the picture that set off a firestorm of dancing before the main course was even served! It was a picture of their New York friends that made the trip for the wedding. As soon as I was done snapping, the DJ started Empire State of Mind and they went crazy!! I loved every minute of watching them all dancing….so impressed!!
