A little less than two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Kara and Pete’s wedding! Kara and Pete grew up in my hometown of Foxboro, and they chose to have their ceremony at the St. Mary’s there (which is also where I had mine:)! My day started off as soon as I arrived at the hotel! The guys were there waiting to get on the trolley, so we did a few pictures of them! After a few minutes with the guys, I headed down to Kara’s room where she was getting her dress on!
Once Kara was ready, we headed out to get the trolley that was on the way back for them!Kara’s girls were so sweet – three of them are Pete’s sisters, one is Kara’s sister (who I knew growing up:), one is her cousin (and she is expecting her first baby:), and of course her best friend!
As the ceremony began, three of Kara’s nieces and nephews were supposed to lead the way, but one of the little guys got scared! He made it three pews and then ran into one and hid – adorable! Mom to the rescue:)! He walked up with his mother Kaitlyn (who I knew growing up) but was still a little shy:)! Kaitlyn said that he was the one that she was LEAST expected to get shy too!Kara’s brother Joe walked her up the isle…
On our way to Wannamoisett we made a stop at a park for the pictures!
After our time with the bridal party, we sent them back to the trolley so that we could focus on just some Kara and Pete pictures…This park was just perfect for them…they are an outdoorsy couple and it had a very woodsy feel!
On our way out of the park, we stopped by the carousel…On our way out of the park, we also incorporated the sign that Pete had given to Kara for their wedding day…
When we arrived at Wannamoisett, cocktail hour was in progress and we headed out back to wrap up with the family pictures before the reception began! Here are a couple of the sibling pictures:)!
While Kara was having a hair change, I photographed some details around the room….Then the party began! Then the dancing begun…
Kara’s mom is on the left with her siblings:)!Just before I was heading out, we snuck outside for a quick minute with some sparklers:)!Kara and Pete – congratulations! I hope that you had a fabulous time on your honeymoon/buddymoon:)!

Bride/Groom Questions
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Our ceremony, becoming husband and wife.
What was your favorite detail?
Pete’s wedding gift to me was a handmade sign that said “The Guy’s”, he had his mom deliver it to me before I left for the church. We were able to bring it with us & ended up using it for pictures. We love the impromptu use of the sign for pictures and for decoration at our wedding. It will be above our mantle in our house forever!
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Have a buddymoon!
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Strangers hopping on our trolley when we stopped to take pictures at the carousel. They always wanted to go on a trolley! Too funny!
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Have a short wedding dress. I had too many layers! It was very warm!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We enjoyed 10 nights at Majestic Colonial Club Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. 3 days just us, 7 days with most of our closest friends! Amazing!
