Catherine & Mike | Wedding at the Hyatt Harborside, Boston

Just two short weeks ago I had the pleasure of returning to the Hyatt Harborside for Catherine and Mike’s wedding! I am always in awe when I walk into the lobby and am greeted by this view…it is seriously stunning!

(If you look really closely at the people eating outside, you may be able to spot a few groomsmen and Mike! I didn’t know it at the time, but they were out there:)!
When I arrived, I headed up to Catherine’s room to see how the girls were making out, and was surprised to find them well ahead of their schedule!! Catherine was getting touched up a bit and only one other was finishing up!I started with her details so that we would be ready to get the dress on!These ladies are AWESOME and it stems from Catherine – I was not the only one to tell Catherine that she is beautiful on the inside and out, it was something I heard repeatedly all day!! These ladies are all friends, family and co-workers and they are as sweet and kind as Catherine is!  (LOVED their robes too:)!While the girls started getting into their dresses, I headed up to Mike’s room to capture him getting ready with a little assistance from his brother!Mike and Catherine are perfect together (and have been together quite a while too:)! Mike is equally as great a guy at Catherine is a fabulous girl!! Back in Catherine’s room, the girls were ready and helping Catherine into her gorgeous dress!Catherine’s mom worked on her dad’s tie in the other room….The entire bridal party, along with Mike, headed over to the church in the trolly, while Catherine and her parents rode over in the Rolls Royce!
The ceremony began in a beautiful church in Norwood….After the ceremony, we all rode back together…and there may have been a little dancing in the seats:)!When we arrived back at the Hyatt Harborside, we grabbed a few pictures with the Rolls Royce before heading out back for our picture time:)!
Catherine and Mike had not only ONE but TWO water shows and the first one ended up timed exactly when we started their pictures together:)!!

The reception began…The second water show came during dinner! After dinner, Catherine and Mike did their parent dances….and Catherine danced with her Nono (grandfather)! Then the partying began:)!Look how happy everyone is!! Especially Catherine’s parents – they had a blast!!One of the videographers had a Go-Pro cam and had Mike and Catherine travel around with it for a few minutes:)!Some photobooth fun:)!
On the far left is Mike’s dad getting some air:)!

Some late night snacks came out for the guests – burgers, home made chips AND crab cake sliders with guacamole!

Once it got dark, we did just a couple more pictures of Catherine and Mike with the city skyline!

Off they went to enjoy the last hour of their reception (and of course some after partying:)!

Catherine and Mike – congratulations to you both!! I was honored to be a part of your friends and family for the day – you are a fantastic bunch!!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
The most memorable moment for us was saying our vows at the church in front of all of our friends and family.
What was your favorite detail?
Catherine: My favorite detail was having a special dance with my grandfather to an italian song that he chose. The song is called “Vivere” and it’s about enjoying life!
Mike: Having our reception in a tent on Boston Harbor made it feel like Boston was in our backyard!
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Catherine: Don’t try to fix your hair for every picture! Leave it alone – it looks beautiful! (Sorry Heather!)
Mike: Whenever you have the chance, take a moment and take it all in. It goes by so fast.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
When Catherine’s sister, Laura, made her speech, she referenced “the love of Catherine’s life” and began to describe his qualities. Everyone, including us, thought she was talking about Mike, but she was really talking about Harry, our dog!
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
We wouldn’t change a thing! It really was the perfect day!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Hawaii!
**One final picture of Mike Catherine and I:)! They asked ME and one of their bridesmaid’s took it! I absolutely LOVED being a part of your day and now there is a photo to remember it by….Thank you Catherine and Mike:)!**
