Yuqing and Meng were married in an early intimate ceremony on October 18th…It was so early that I actually saw a beautiful sunrise on my way to meet them! When I saw this view, I just had to pull over and capture it for them:)!
When I arrived to the house in Narragansett that they had rented, Yuqing was underway getting ready and her details were out and ready for me to document!
Yuqing had two dresses – one for the ceremony and one for the luncheon after – and to go along with those dresses, two killer pairs of shoes too:)
One of the first things on Yuqing’s mind, when we chatted about her day, was photos with her pups – here are just a handful of these moments:)Meng’s dad helped him with some finishing touches…and his mom helped to pin the boutineer…Upstairs the girls were getting dressed and helping Yuqing into her dress and details…After finishing up with a toast, I headed to Roger Williams Park for the ceremony. It was being held at the Temple to Music and although the day was beautiful, it was close to freezing temps!Yuqing and Meng put a lot of time and effort into the details of their day (you can read about it in their answers below).Meng and his groomsmen also arrived at the ceremony to take a few photos and to greet the arriving guests…When Yuqing and her family arrived, the ceremony was ready to begin…Right after the ceremony we squeezed in all of their photos and everyone hung in there even though it was such a brisk day!Once we finished up with the families and bridal party, we wrapped up with just the two of them…We made a quick stop at the Carousel before heading to the restaurant!
At the restaurant, the guests were waiting and dining!
Yuqing and Meng were welcomed warmly by their friends and family, a couple of toasts were given and then they went around and toasted each of their guests:)
This was the final photo we took before I left them to enjoy their feast!
Yuqing and Meng, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day! Congratulations to you both and your families too:)!

Bride/Groom Questions
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
The whole day was fabulous but if we had to pick one our favorite part would be the first kiss.
What was your favorite detail?
Our favorite part is the succulent plant favors for our guests. We bought plain clay pot and painted the pot with our wedding theme color by ourselves. Our friend Kim helped to plant succulent and it took the plants two months to grow into what they were on the wedding day. I love this project so much! We had so much fun working on it. We also had a picture of Meng and me painting the clay pots and we planned to display the picture on that day by the favors. But we forgot to bring the picture… Oops! Should have written it down. Anyways we love this idea! And we received lots of compliments from our guests 🙂
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Relax and enjoy the day!
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Nope I’d like to remember every second of the day.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We only spent two more days at the beach house we rented for the wedding. But we are going back to China in winter break to make up our honeymoon!
