At the end of September, I had the pleasure of photographing Laurie and Peter’s wedding at Charter Oak Country Club…This was my first time at the venue and it is a hidden gem…just beautiful! I arrived a bit early to photograph the grounds and the details while I waited for Laurie and her girls to arrive….
When they arrived, it was already time to get their dresses on!
After the girls were ready we headed out on the deck for some pictures – a beautiful spot and also out of sight for when the guys arrived:)!
Seriously…stunning!!
When the guys arrived, I scooted downstairs to meet them also:)!
Then we did a few pictures of them before the ceremony began…
The mom’s were incorporated into the candle lighting…
and the guests were incorporated into the ceremony by passing the rings and blessing them with well wishes!
We completed ALL of our formals in 40 minutes – bridal party, families and the photos of Pete and Laurie! It may be a record:)! They wanted to make it to cocktail and spend as much time as they could with friends and family and we made it happen – as quickly as I could:)!
Our quick picture time, allowed me to get into the ballroom and photograph their details and even a bit of cocktail before the reception began!
Then it was time for the reception to begin….
After the blessing by Peter’s grandfather, we did a few photos and Laurie and Peter started visiting with their guests…
The speeches were given by the maid-of-honor and best man, and then Pete also spoke…
Cake cutting and parent dances wrapped up the dinner time and then the dancing began:)!
On the right is Laurie’s mom and her grandson – who is an amazingly happy little guy and a great little walker:)!
I was heading out before the night was over, but was able to capture some sweet moments between Laurie and Pete on the dance floor just as I was leaving:)! It was perfect!

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
The whole day was amazing. If we had to choose one particular moment it would be our first kiss.
What was your favorite detail?
Seeing the design of everything put together like the flowers and candles and all the pictures and decor. And the venue was incredible.
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Splurge on the things that matter most to you and save money on details that aren’t as important to you. It’s your day and what matters most is that you are happy. Not everyone else.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Aruba marriott and stellaris casino hotel. We chose to not do all inclusive because dinning out in aruba is fabulous!
