Kathleen and Dan have a special connection to lighthouses – they got engaged at one, we included one in their engagement session and they chose their venue, The Barker Tavern, in part because the Scituate Lighthouse was nearby!
As you can expect, a big part of their day was spent at the lighthouse, but my day actually started at the Airbnb where the guys were getting ready:) Both the guys and the ladies had their own Airbnb’s and they were both great houses!
When I arrived to the airbnb that the girls were staying at, THIS was their view! Their house was full of light and had been remodeled and decorated gorgeously!
With the help of her mother and sister, Kathleen put on her dress and it was PERFECT! Absolutely gorgeous and also practical for the day ahead of climbing on the rocks:)! She looked stunning!
Once everyone was ready, the party bus picked us up to head out to The Lucky Finn Cafe to meet Dan for their first look! Kathleen and Dan picked this spot themselves (as you can read about below) and it was an adorable one!
After the first-look we continued on to The Scituate Lighthouse to get all of the photos done of the wedding party and families (and of course some of the two of them at their special spot:)! As you can see it was a gorgeous day without a cloud in sight! That mid-day sun was bright but kept us warm too:)!
This is the moment that ended up being one of the funniest of their day – you can read a bit more about it below;)
Kathleen and Dan found a little chapel in Scituate for their wedding ceremony and it was filled with an incredibly proud father, lots of love and laughter!
On our way to cocktail hour we stopped by a spot that Kathleen had heard about from the Barker Tavern coordinator. These two were now officially married and a few quiet minutes together was perfect:)! The sun was going down and the lighting was perfectly romantic for just a few more photos together:)
We were ahead of schedule and arrived early at The Barker Tavern! These two enjoyed every minute of their cocktail hour!
After cocktail, everyone took their seats and the reception kicked off with these two enjoying their first dance together, then some fabulous speeches, parent dances, the Horah and an impromptu and incredibly heartfelt speech from Kathleen’s dad that put a tear in my eye!
Dancing kicked off and Kathleen and Dan barely left the dance floor:)!
I thought I would end with this group pic because the couple in the middle are my past wedding clients and they are the reason that Kathleen and Dan found me:)! A huge thank you to Melissa and Brian for passing my name along and an even bigger thank you to Kathleen and Dan for choosing me to be a part of their day!
Kathleen and Dan – I wish you the absolute best as you start your life together (and continue on your racing journey;)!

We both cite our most memorable moment as the first look/the Lucky Finn. We were both so excited to finally see one another and officially begin our wedding day together. The Lucky Finn is a spot we have enjoyed since we started coming to Scituate and it was so fun to make it a part of such a big moment on the day. What was your favorite detail? Our cake topper! It was purchased on Etsy and made to look like us. We had to send photos of us, photos of my dress, our wedding colors, photos of our running shoes, type of flower, and photos of Dan’s suit/tie. Lots of information was needed, but we couldn’t have been happier with the finished product! Any advice for future brides/grooms? No matter what, it all comes together on the day. It’s easy to be caught up in details that you have worked so hard on, but I promise that it all works out. At the end of the day, you’re marrying the person you love and that’s the best part! Funniest memory from your wedding day? Oleg aggressively sneezing during photos! If you could do it all over, would you change anything? Not a thing! We had the most amazing day with our families and friends! The weather was spectacular and everything flowed together beautifully! Where did you go on your honeymoon? Aruba |
