Tara and Remy were married over the beautiful Labor Day weekend that we had here in New England! Our day began at Tara’s family’s home with a bit of hair and make-up time:) When I arrived, it was one of the calmest and happiest homes I have entered into! I even arrived when there was a bit of an earring snaffoo…Tara was so easy going about it and her mom quickly solved the problem but I was just in awe at how everyone handled it and reacted! It was definitely a view into how the rest of the day would go – smooth, happy and easy:)!Take a minute to read Tara and Remy’s questions below and you will read about the necklace on the left – another example of the sweetness of this family:)When all of the girls were getting dressed, Tara was there to help:) She helped her mother into her dress too and then her mom helped her!Once everyone was ready, we headed outside for a few pictures before we left for the church…
Back inside, we added some finishing touches (including a setting make-up spray that got a few laughs and Tara’s veil as well)…When we arrived at the church, I was actually in the limo with them (which is rare:) I LOVED seeing the happy smiles as she saw her first peek at friends and family arriving!
The beautiful St. Martin’s...Inside the church, Remy was waiting:)I love this series of photos as they exited St. Martin’s Espiscopal Church (and there are many more too:)! I just love the happiness on their faces and the look of the church door with the pop of red color:)!After the ceremony, we headed to the Rhode Island State House for our picture time, and then to the reception at the Omni Hotel!
They were a great bunch of people:)!
We hopped back in the limo for the quick ride over to the Omni Hotel!
While we waited for the reception to begin, Remy’s little brother had fully warmed up to me:)! The reception began and all of the fun was underway:)!I told you he had warmed up:)! Those are his parent looking on:)!After the DJ asked all of the guest to surround the dance floor…Tara danced with her dad and Remy danced with his mom!
Then the partying began:)The DJ had screens set up for live texting…I had never seen this before:)! This is Tara’s brother Kevin and his girlfriend Kristen:)A little photo booth fun before the night ended:)Remy’s sister (and Maid of Honor:) “caught” the bouquet…The reactions from the rest of the girls absolutely cracks me up!
Remy and Tara – Thank you so much for having me as a part of your day! I loved every minute of it and I am so happy for the two of you! You are both such kind souls and treat each other with such love and respect! I wish you both the best (and your fabulous families too:)!

Tara – For me, the most memorable moment was walking down the aisle with my Dad, seeing my Mom and all of our family and friends smiling back, and seeing Remy at the end of the aisle.
Remy – After all of the planning, the most memorable part of the day was finally being pronounced as husband and wife.
What was your favorite detail?
Tara– My Mom had the necklace that she wore on her wedding day (that my Dad gave to her) restrung on a chain to match my dress and gave it to me to wear on my wedding day. It was really special to be able to wear it.
Remy – Our cake topper was a custom bride and groom made to look like us, with the police uniform and everything.
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Everyone says it and it is so true – the day absolutely flies by. Months of planning and the day is over before you know it. Try to take time to sit back and really enjoy the time with family and friends and let everything sink in.
Remy’s whole family practiced and learned the dance for Whip/Nae Nae and “performed” it at the reception. It was so much fun to watch them and see everyone having such a great time with it!If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Absolutely not!
We spent a week in Aruba.
