Last week I met Steph and Mark in Newport for their engagement session. They knew the spots that they wanted to head to and each one was fantastic – but how can you go wrong in Newport?! During our time together, we went through all types of summer weather – beautiful sun, to partly cloudy, to fully cloudy, to rain and then downpour! We stuck it out for a few minutes in the car, and chatted a bit, and were STILL able to get back outside at the lighthouse – It was perfect! These two are happy, kind, so easy to talk to and so in love – my perfect clients! Take a peek below at our time together and be sure to read their story below!

How did he propose | On a Monday night in February, I had just come from yoga and Mark had made dinner. This wasn’t anything out of the ordinary as he’s a pretty good cook 🙂 I came home to Mark and his roommates, who shortly after my arrival said they were going to grab dinner at a restaurant down the street. I didn’t think anything of this, as I figured they wanted to give us some “alone time”. After a delicious dinner, we sat on the couch with our glasses of wine and started brainstorming some potential garden plans for the spring. The house Mark bought last year came with a beautiful Victorian greenhouse! We planted some herbs and veggies the previous year, but wanted to expand our gardening skills and add a few more things to the list. So as we’re talking about tomatoes and peppers, Mark thought it would be a great idea to go outside and map out where we wanted the pots placed. It was a pretty mild night in February, so I said why not! When we went outside, Mark turned on the greenhouse lights and to my surprise, the greenhouse was completely covered in string lights. At this point, I still didn’t think anything crazy was about to happen. That was until he put on some music and soon after, a beautiful ring on my finger 🙂
