Stacey and Seif take the prize for my earliest wedding of the year! When I arrived at the hotel it was still dark outside and Stacey was still in the shower! As a photographer who primarily uses natural light, it was quite different to be waiting for the sun to RISE to get some light into the room:) It did brightened up quickly and our day was off to a great (but a bit gloomy) start! Their wedding took place when hurricane Sandy was looming!
When I returned back inside from doing some details, I found Stacey’s mom putting a quick coat of clear polish on Stacey’s nails….Stacey definitely wins the award for the most easy going bride – a simple coat of clear polish, no make-up and no stressing! She is awesome! Her philosophy was, “If I don’t wear make-up on any other day, why would I do it today?!” Stacey’s mom created a gift box full of everything she would need for the day…something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue….It was so perfect to have everything together and opened all at once! When the trolley arrived to pick up Seif, Stacey received a picture:)!
This picture has a back story….when I arrived, I couldn’t get a Maroon 5 song out of my head, when I mentioned it to Stacey, she immediately said you need to ask Amy about her obsession and she can show you her phone! Turns out she loves Adam Levine and has a collection of images on her phone of him….this is definitely the best one:)!When Seif arrived at the hotel, we were ready for the first look!He was buttoning up while trying to get the trolley to pull around back – multi-tasking:)!For the first look, we found a small and simple spot just beside the hotel. Their first look was absolutely perfect with a hint of emotion and just pure happiness!
When the bridal party joined us outside, we grabbed a few shots with them before heading to Independence Harbor! When we arrived, I grabbed a few detail shots before heading outside to the ceremony that was about to begin!Their favors were a unique way of donating to a charity of their choice, yet each person had a choice too! There were four charities to choose from.Seif’s father and brother were helping to hand out the playbills/programs…A budding photographer:)!Independence Harbor has a fantastic entrance for the bride….the walk across the field just makes the wedding processional that much more dramatic! These two cuties are brother and sister if you can’t tell:)!During the family formals, it began to rain…after a quick dash inside, we wrapped up with a few more couple pictures when the rain slowed down for a minute:)!Matty B is a true multi-tasker himself! He Dj’d, sang, played a few different instruments and mingled within the guests and dancers! He was a perfect match for Stacey and Seif! This is Amy and her sister – two of the prominent dancers of the day – loved them!! On the right is the ONE person that danced to Gangnam Style – she was great:)!This is Stacey’s brother and girlfriend…When I noticed their family all dancing right near each other, we grabbed a quick family picture!Stacey and Seif made a very quick exit to an awaiting car – it was back to work for both of them, right away the next day!
Stacey and Seif, thank you for having me be a part of your day! I wish you the best in all of your travels!! Have a fantastic honeymoon this winter – something to look forward to:)!
