Shayla and Rob were married on July 29th and going into their wedding day, I knew it was going to be a fun party, but I was actually still blown away by how fun it was! Wait until you see their fun party pics below but before you get there, be sure to take a peek at the rest of their wedding day story!
It all started with Shayla’s details – I love this necklace and her shoes!
I am also in love with these ring shots – the bling that surrounds their rings is actually the bling that you will see on Shayla’s feet when she changes into her dancing dress for the reception!
Shayla and Rob wrote their own vows – one of my favorite parts of a ceremony! Shayla’s sisters and friends, presented her with a book – every page was a letter from each of her closest family and friends, along with some photos of them together. Shayla only looked at the first page and teared up! We had to put it away to be read after the wedding (when she wasn’t worried about her make-up:) Both Shayla and Rob presented their bridesmaids and groomsmen with gifts and hand-written notes/letters. I did a little hopping back and forth from the guys to the girls during the getting ready process and back in the girls room, they were wrapping up Shayla’s hair!
I am loving all of the colorful robes that I am seeing this season! So many fun options out there! In Rob’s room, there was a cooler that Shayla made him. It is something new to me, but the two of them attended Clemson and it was a tradition in the sorority/fraternitys:)! Very cool and very impressed with how well she can decorate a cooler! Mom and her girls helped get her into her dress…We also did a few pics of the girls and Shayla before heading out to their first look! When Shayla and Rob’s day began, it was raining and the prediction was rain throughout the time we needed to be outside for photos and the ceremony…As the morning progressed, the forecast changed and by the time we made it to their first look it was HOT and sunny! I had warned them about how HOT July had been this year and luckily after their first look, Bird Park provided us with a lot of shade to help keep us cool:)! After some photos of Shayla and Rob, the bridal party joined us! These are Shayla’s three sisters:)
This guy was just running by and the guys needed a picture with him – of course;) When the families arrived, we did a first-look with Shayla’s father – it is is first daughter to get married and this was a special and emotional moment for them bothAs the rest of the families walked in, I met Shayla’s grandmother for the first time. Wait until you see more of her…you will never guess how many years young she is:)!
This gorgeous lady is 101 years young!! Can you believe it?! She looks fabulous and is just so sweet – wait until you see her walk up the isle too!
After family photos we arrived at Lakeview Pavilion just in time for the ceremony! When the ceremony began, Shayla’s grandmother decided to walk up the isle – with the help of her son and daughter! When she made it to the front of the isle, everyone cheered:)!! This became the pattern for everyone who came up the isle and it started their ceremony off on such a happy and upbeat note!
Shayla’s father escorted his mother, his wife and then his daughter up the isle. This final trip for him was an emotional one. Shayla and Rob chose to have their ceremony on the new ceremony side of Lakeview Pavilion..beautiful! After Rob said his vows, Shayla couldn’t help but give him a big hug – a perfect moment!
Just a couple photos together as official husband and wife…
and then the party began! It kicked off with some great intros including this three man hop:)! Rob and Shayla gave me a heads up that they would only be dancing their first dance to a slow song for about 20 seconds. … and then they would be busting out a choreographed dance. I knew the dance would be great, but it was BETTER than great! It was a compilation of a ton of songs with mini dances to go with each one…It was fabulous!! After the first dance, there were a few toasts and the parent dances:) As soon as dinner was over the dance floor opened and the crazy shenanigans began!! There were props, cut-outs, wigs and crazy dance-offs! These two families and all of their friends know how to have fun! The large cut-out head is of Rob’s father – that is his sister in the bottom right:)! The little guy in the bottom right did not put Tom Brady down – he was having a blast dancing with Tom the whole night! This cut-out was a huge surprise for Rob – clearly he was ok with the surprise;)
Rob’s dad WITH rob’s dad – LOL!
One of my favorite parts of the night – when Shayla’s grandma came to the floor and everyone danced with her!! It was fantastic and she was loving every minute of it!
Rob and Shayla – thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! It was fabulous from beginning to end:)! I wish you two the best and hope that our paths cross again (when you are home:)!

Bride & Groom Questions
Q. What was the most memorable moment of your day?
A. Her – Our first dance, which was a choreographed dance that no one knew about! Also, our first look before the wedding, it was so nice to get an intimate moment with Rob!! And I also loved the ceremony.
Him – It was a tie between our first dance and our vows.
Q. Funniest memory from your wedding day?
A. Her – Definitely all of the dancing with the props and surprise fat heads. Rob’s 9 year old cousin was dancing with the Tom Brady cutout on the dance floor and wouldn’t let anyone take it from him, it was adorable!
Him – Breaking out the props from the prop boxes on the dance floor!
Q. What was your favorite detail?
A. Her – not sure if it classifies as a “detail,” but I absolutely loved doing the first look and taking the bridal party pictures before the wedding. We had such a fun time and it was so great to relax and spend time with everyone in a more intimate setting before all the craziness started!
Him – both of Shayla’s dresses. The first dress was gorgeous and then she changed into a shorter dress for the reception, so we were able to enjoy the dance floor.
Q. Any advice for future brides/grooms?
A. Take a deep breath and relax, everything will work out okay (even someone not having the right pants!). Even if things do go wrong (because some things probably will), the most important thing to remember is that this day is about you and your love for each other. Also, take as many pictures as possible so you have great memories to look back on!!
Q. If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
A. Her – not a single thing 🙂 Him – nope!
Q. Where did you go on your honeymoon?
A. We went to Newport, RI for a few days. Next summer, we’ll go on a 3-4 week vacation to Bora Bora!!!
