July was a hot month and Pete and Provan’s day was no exception! Although it was full of heat, it was also full of happiness, laughter and a lot of happy tears!
I arrived to find Provan and her girls listening to what turned out to be their first dance song. As they were listening to it, Provan was moved to tears and decided to change her song to it! Provan stained and prepared the ring box herself!
Upstairs, the guys were getting ready… This little man I have photographed before. I photographed his parents wedding and since he was born, I photographed him a couple of times too (more on them later). Wedding days are long and when you are working with a little one, you never know how long the smiles will last. I snapped a bunch of photos of this little cutie early on in the day but it wasn’t even necessary. He never stopped smiling the entire day! He was so happy and so attentive to me and the camera! It was amazing – just LOVE him!!Back down in Provan’s room, her girls and her mom helped get her ready…I love these photos and the range of emotions from mom:)!
So pretty – inside and out! I love this girl (and I loved her dress too:)!
While we waited for Provan and the girls to arrive, we did a few photos of Pete and his guys! When Provan arrived to Pinehills, we headed out in golf carts to the first-look spot…It was a perfect spot for the woody look and feel the they were aiming for!
As you can see, I couldn’t narrow down photos for this post – there are so many (and so many more) that I just love! I love golf cart photos – I think they photograph beautifully (especially with beautiful people:)! Back near the Pinehills Pavilion, we wrapped up with the rest of the bridal party photos…
We headed out back to a spot that the fabulous staff at Pinehills Country Club pointed out to me when I was on the hunt for tall trees and I just LOVE these! I was so excited for Provan’s wedding for many reasons, which included Provan and Pete, their family and friends and also their venue! I was able to be at Pinehill earlier this season and once I saw it, I couldn’t wait to go back – I love this venue and the fabulous people that work there!Provan chose to do some farm tables which looked great and her centerpieces, favors and table numbers completed the look!
The guests began to arrive… and the ceremony began… Provan and Pete’s friend and groomsman was their officiant for the day and he did a fabulous job! A request from Provan was a photo of their kiss from this perspective – I was MORE than happy to oblige! It is a view that I am not often able to get and I just love it! I do not normally include so many photos of the recessional in a blog post but how could I not include them when there is so much happiness and expression in this one moment of the day!! AJ’s grandparents:)!
The sun was setting during cocktail hour and the glow was gorgeous – we had to get a quick pictureInside the reception was ready to begin… As the speeches wrapped up, we had a special last minute addition from AJ that ended with the sweetest, “I love you Auntie Provan and Uncle Pete”.
A sweet cake cutting and some fabulous parent dances and the night was in full swing:)! My original couple – Amy and Adam!! Adam is Provan’s brother, and I photographed their wedding back in 2010 (when I met Provan for the first time:)! I can’t believe it has been 6 years! Provan requested a whole group photo and with help of the coordinator Abby and their DJ, we made it happen:) The huge group shot kicked off a packed dance floor for the whole night! Provan created her own photo booth with props and bench and a remote controlled camera – I grabbed just a couple fun photos as people were out there – and I just loved this one:)!Provan had mentioned that her father wanted to do some jumping in our photos and although that didn’t end up happening, they did get to do a bunch of jumping during Criss-Crosses “Jump” song! It worked out perfectly!
The hot day led to a beautiful night and people were able to head outside (in between some rain showers that is:) When the rain stopped we grabbed a quick couple of pictures in front of the venue to cap off the night!Back inside, the dancing wrapped up and it was time for their final dance!
Provan and Pete – it was an honor that you chose me to be a part of your day!! I loved being a part of it and getting to see everyone again! You two are fabulous! Provan, your energy, laugh and happiness is contagious!! I hope to get to see you all again soon!

Bride & Groom Questions
Q. What was the most memorable moment of your day?
A. Our ceremony was everything we hoped it would be! We had a close friend officiate (thanks James!!) and spoke our vows quietly to one another. It was short and sweet and perfect in every way!
Q. Funniest memory from your wedding day?
A. Malorie, the maid of honor, and Nick and James, the best men killed it in the speeches! They had us in tears one minute and laughing the next. Nick even wrote a little poem about us and our friends!
Q. What was your favorite detail?
A. This is a hard question! I think the cake was my favorite detail. I loved the flowers, the pink glass cake stand, the candles and how great it all looked together. It’s so silly – as a bride you obsess over the littlest details and it’s nice to see them come together
Q. Any advice for future brides/grooms?
A. Take it ALL in!! It really goes by in the blink of an eye! Before walking down the aisle I made sure to take a moment to look around at everyone and everything. Also, don’t sweat the hiccups that may occur. No one is going to notice if a small detail is out of place – they are there for you guys, the bride and groom, not the centerpieces or the place cards.
Q. If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
A. I wouldn’t change a thing!! Maybe the heat, but unfortunately that one is out of our control!!
Q. Where did you go on your honeymoon?
A. We are currently enjoying the sun and sand in Greece and Italy 🙂
