Over the years, I have learned that I LOVE September weddings – they typically aren’t too hot, they aren’t too cold and it still feels like summer but with a little fall mixed in – which are my two favorite seasons:) Pam and Joe’s wedding was just that – a perfect September wedding!! These two are beyond fabulous and deserved the perfect day and they got it:)!
Our day started at the Roht Marine in Marshfield, Pam and Joe had rented the house there and this is the view! Gorgeous!
After I took a peek around, I noticed that the dress was hanging in the window facing me AND I could see Pam in the window as I walked up – it couldn’t have been a more perfect way to start the day:)!
Inside those boxes are the adorable embroidered PJ’s the girls had on!
When I arrived, I was greeted by Carly (on the right of Pam). The second that I saw her, I knew that she looked familiar! She immediately said that she had met me at another wedding! She was a guest at Jenny and Ryan‘s wedding earlier this season and we had actually chatted too:)! Carly and Jenny went to college together, Carly and Pam (and these girls) went to high school together:)!! Small world! When Joe and his guys arrived, he put on the finishing touches in one of the bedrooms and then headed down by the water to wait for the first look:)
Joe also brought with him their pup:) It worked out so perfectly – she was even a part of the first look down on the dock:)
As I headed down to the dock to get Joe set up, I found the guys hanging out:)
Their first look blew me away – and as you can see, I couldn’t even narrow down the photos to share! It was full of such heartfelt emotion and love that it even got me teary. These two are just SO fabulous!
Their friends watched quietly, from a distance, until they had their moment – then they cheered! This group has been together since high school and they are a FUN bunch!!We spent a few more minutes on the dock (how could you not with that view and sky!!) and one of their friends brought their pup over too!
Roht Marine – thank you for the use of your beautiful spot:) I could not be in love with these photos (and this couple) anymore than I am:)!!
We headed over to Powder Point Bridge for some bridal party photos. These guys are awesome! I couldn’t get them to even stand still!
When we wrapped up with the guys the girls came out:) I love this one of Pam and Joe’s sister – so sweet!!
When we did the whole group together, standing still was a problem again – they were so full of energy – my kind of group:)!!
As the group headed back to the trolley, an ice cream truck came by – why not grab a photo:)
Hello gorgeous bridge and sky:) Powder Point Bridge is fabulous:)
The only trick with Powder Point Bridge is the direction of the sun (it is in their eyes:) and on such a gorgeous day, we found the only spot with a bit of shade – under the bridge! I LOVE these photos as much as I love the amazing sky that we had all day:)!
Once we arrived at the Duxbury Bay Maritime Schoo it was almost time for the ceremony:)
Look at this view for the ceremony at the Duxbury Bay Maritime School – nautical perfection:)
This was the steepest walkway down the dock at DBMS but it was worth the walk:)
A little first dance practice – little did I know that they didn’t need practice – their first dance was awesome:)
We wrapped up cocktail hour with a full wedding photo:)
As the sun went down we scooted out for just a few moments:)
Back inside, the toasts were given and the dancing began!
Pam and Joe – Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! A big thank you to Gina and Jared for mentioning me to them:)!! I so greatly appreciate it!

Bride/Groom Questions
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Our first look. We both couldn’t wait to see each other that day. For both of us, the moment was so intimate and magical. Once we had our first look, the suspense was over and we were on cloud 9!
What was your favorite detail?
The weather! We could not have asked for a more perfect day to get married! Also, having Joe’s Papa be our officiant was special to us both.
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
The best advice we could give is don’t sweat the small stuff! Our scheduled DJ ended up in the ER the day of our wedding. We met his substitute as we were about to walk out for Introductions. Some things you can’t predict, you just need to go with the flow and enjoy your special day.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Our Flower girl Rio dancing in the middle of a circle as everyone chanted her name. Rio was so excited to be part of our wedding, it made us so happy to see her feel special on our day as well.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Nothing. Little details definitely went wrong, but we soon realized none of the small issues mattered.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went on a mini moon to Maine and New York. Joe is in Grad. School and we weren’t sure until the semester started (2 weeks before wedding) how much time he could get off. Maine was perfect to relax and unwind for a few days, then we headed to NYC to attend Joe’s Aunt’s wedding.
