Shannon and Kevin are back from their fabulous honeymoon and I have been waiting to share their preview (and gallery:)!! This wedding was near and dear to me because Shannon and Kevin are high school sweethearts and their high school is the same as mine:) I actually went to school with her oldest brother and photographed her middle brother’s wedding too:) They are a fantastic family and on this day, I found out Kevin’s family is just as fabulous!
Their day took place, from start to finish, on the grounds of Ocean Edge Resort…
Shannon and Kevin were actually getting ready in different buildings and I started by heading up to the girls! When I arrived, I learned that Shannon’s veil was borrowed from Kevin’s mother. It is the veil that she had worn for her wedding and it looked perfect! Such a special touch for both Shannon and for Kevin’s family!
I love this mother/daughter pair – they exude happiness and kindness towards each other and towards all of the people around them. Truly a joy to be around!
I scooted over to Kevin’s location to find him and his guys getting underway.
It was a team effort to do the ties (but really it was a lesson given by Brian – Kevin’s brother:)
I loved watching the interactions between Kevin and his mom – they were full of love, laughter and mutual respect and admiration!
Back in Shannon’s suite, they were ready to get Shannon into her dress:)
Dad came over to see his daughter and everyone had some happy tears!
Shannon had gifts for her parents and for Kevin’s mom:)
We headed outside for some photos before the ceremony, starting with Shannon and her bridesmaids…
and then her adorable niece joined in!
This adorable bunch is made up of all Shannon’s nieces and nephews – she is a very proud auntie!
One adorable looking crew and all first cousins – two sets of three:)
Our last photo of the girls before we headed towards the Ocean Edge mansion and it is my favorite of them:)
As Shannon and the girls headed inside to be tucked away, Kevin and his guys headed out for a few photos before the ceremony!
Brotherly love (and sarcasm:)!
I was able to scoot inside just before the ceremony to capture a few details as the room was just getting finished! I knew that when we returned from photos, the guests would already be filling the space with fun and laughter:)
I just had to include some of the special people that came up the isle – and the little ones too! There were more though – this is just a peek:)
We squeezed in the family formals, the whole wedding party AND travel down to the beach for their photos together into cocktail hour! It was tight but we did it all:)!!
I love this series. The littlest cousin in these photos was such a good listener the whole day (as they all were:)! He is the absolute cutest and even when he decided to have a moment of silly (turning around and shaking his booty), he sealed it with a kiss to Shannon’s dress! It was HYSTERICAL and just so dang cute!!
Down at the beach these two had a few moments alone together for their pictures and that just marred glow:)
Back in the ballroom, the guests were finding their seats and the kids were already ready to dance including this Mama and daughter – twinsy duo:)!
Party time:)!!
Congratulations Shannon and Kevin!! I was so honored to be a part of your day!! I loved watching everyone be so happy for the two of you:)! Best wishes to you and to all of your fabulous families:)!
