Lisa and Scott were married on July 14th and I am excited to say that we now share an anniversary! Their intimate ceremony and reception, took place at the beautiful Chatham Bars Inn, and over the course of their day, they had many different types of weather! The day started out sunny and hot, and by the end of the evening, we had experienced some cloudiness, sprinkling, and downpours – that weren’t even in the forecast! Regardless of the unforeseen weather, nothing could dampen the celebration! While the girls were inside the house getting ready, the guys were outside in the garage working on how to tie a bow-tie – it is trickier than you may think;)! Lisa’s daughter is only 5 and such a big helper (and hugger:)…very cute! As I left the house, I couldn’t help but snap a photo of Scott wrapping up in the garage! When I arrived at the Boat House, it was already looking great! All of the details were in their place and it looked fabulous! Three generation of men – Scott with his father (also the best man) and with his son – who is almost as tall as him, I might add;) Atop the stairs, Lisa and her father were waiting for the ceremony to begin… The guests were arriving and were greeting with champagne and specialty mojitos! Loved this expression!
As it was sprinkling a bit, we decided to do a few of our bridal party photos…so we headed down the boardwalk…
After sending the bridal party back up to the Boat House, we spent a few minutes with just Lisa and Scott.
It was our first attempt to get down to the dock and it is also when we were poured on:( Even the weather apps didn’t know it was coming – as the rain was coming down upon us, the app said “cloudy”:) We made it back (a bit wet) and spent few minutes with the guests! When it stopped raining, we snuck just outside the Boat House for a few more bridal party and family photos..
The weather was looking good, so we attempted our next trip to the dock…we had a little bit of time and then the rain started again! Lisa and Scott were so good about it and they were determined to get some photos down on the beach:)! When we returned, Scott and Lisa chatted for a bit with their guests and then had their first dance… Dinner was getting ready to be served as the toasts were happening! After the toasts, it was lobster clam bake time! I love those bibs (and lobster:)!! Our third and final trip to the dock after dinner was a SUCCESS!! We made it without it raining on us and it was definitely worth it! Lisa’s remained gorgeous through it all:) After we finally made it to the boat dock, we returned to fires lit, a few s’mores, a bit of dancing and cake cutting! There was even a bit of parkour too:) My final photo of the evening – as I walked to my car:)
Lisa and Scott – thank you for finding me and for choosing me to be a part of your day! I am so happy that you decided that the Cape was the perfect destination for your wedding celebration! I wish you and your family the best!

Bride/Groom Questions
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Definitely seeing each other for the first time! (Lisa) All of my nerves disappeared and I was totally relaxed.
What was your favorite detail?
I love that we had a color scheme that played throughout. For example, my Mom made the navy/white table runners, which matched the ribbon on the cake. We then added mint green, pinks and blues.
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Make sure you stop and take the time to see every detail that you planned. It is the best, but shortest day of your life!
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Attempting to make it to the boat dock 3 times, and each time the sky opened! Luckily we made it and i’m sure the pictures are awesome!
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Married Scott sooner 😉
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We had a week in the Cape with our family and friends but our honeymoon is in the fall.
