Last week I met Emily and Brandon for their engagement session in Boston. They were visiting for the week, so we have had their date penciled in for a while and when the day arrived the weather cooperated fully!! It was a bit warm but totally manageable for us (even with Brandon in a jacket:). This was the first time that I was getting to meet these two in person and they are fabulous! Take a peek at our time together below AND read about our champagne toast that was perfectly imperfect!
At the end of the session, we had planned to do a champagne toast. We originally decided to save it for the end just in case there was any little accidents or spills – we didn’t want to get it on their clothing at the start of the session:)
Well – it turns out that the heat MAY have affected the bottle:) Brandon started to unwrap the bottle, while I was getting my camera settings ready for the setting sun, and the pressure popped the bottle before he was even ready for it!
As I was looking down, I heard a huge POP and I immediately started shooting! Our champagne toast ended up being the perfect example of true expressions and emotions!
Emily and Brandon – I look forward to September when I have the honor of being a part of your day! I just know that it will be fabulous!

A. Brandon planned a date night at my favorite sushi restaurant around the corner from where I lived when we first started dating. After dinner, he suggested we walk around the neighborhood for old time’s sake. As we stood in the exact same spot where we had our first kiss, he pulled out the ring and got down on one knee.
