Dana & Luke | Lake Pearl Lucianos Wedding, wrentham, ma

About a week and a half ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Dana and Luke’s wedding! In the last week and a half, while I have been editing away, Dana and Luke have gone on their honeymoon AND moved to Texas!! Talk about an exciting time in their lives!

Leading up to the wedding, I had the pleasure of meeting Dana and her mother, but it was only days before the actual wedding that I had the pleasure to meet Luke! He is in the Army and hadn’t been in our area! Luke’s whole family is from down south and what a fabulous group they are! The two sets of families actually blend so perfectly!

I started the day joining the girls at Dana’s parents home and as usual started with the details while the girls were wrapping up their make-up!

Before getting dresses on, Dana had a surprise gift for her girls – everyone received Cape Cod bracelets!Dana’s adorably sweet mother helped her into her dress along with her sister!
After just moments with Dana and her mother, you could see how close they are.  I can only describe the two of them as kind, sweet and gentle. There is just so much love and mutual respect between them and honestly a hit of southern charm – a perfect blend with Luke’s family!Dad peeked around the corner and had s special moment with his daughter…After everyone was ready we headed out for a few pictures of the girls, parents and Dana too:)!When I arrived at the church, I was greeting by this entry way – I love what they thought to do with space – very personal and everyone stopped to see all the different parts of the display….A few pictures of the guys while we waited for Dana and the girls to arrive…and some of Luke too! When Dana arrived, we were just about ready to begin…
Luke’s reaction when he first saw Dana was so sweet…The balcony in this church was fabulous! I could capture their ceremony from several different angles! It was always our plan to take a few pictures on the church steps but the added cloud in the window was a surprise – I just love that reflection – couldn’t be more perfect:)!

We photographed the families and bridal party up on the lawn at Lake Pearl and then headed down to the lake with just the three of us (along with golf cart and a couple staff members:)!

I truly love this lake – I love the colors and the way that it photographs in the setting sun – just beautiful:)!Just before entering to get busted, we did one last picture on the grounds outside the entrance door…
Dana went to get bustled and I went to photograph her details!
Love the s’mores idea as her favor and the simple vintage feel of the centerpieces…On each table was the table number with corresponding pictures of Dana and Luke at that age!  The girls bouquets also doubled as centerpieces in mason jars on top of the books too! Then the reception began…At the end of the night, Luke and Dana changed into other clothes and exited in a tunnel of shakers:)Love these couple of pictures!Final picture of the night…and they were off to get a few hours of sleep before their plane took off:)!

Dana and Luke – Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! I wish you the best in all of your new adventures!

Bride & Groom Questions
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Luke: Seeing Dana walking down the aisle
Dana: Turning with Luke at the end of the ceremony and seeing all the faces of our family and friends. Such a powerful moment!

What was your favorite detail?
Luke: Dancing with the Alabama shakers for our last dance and leaving the reception through the “fan tunnel”
Dana: I especially loved our table numbers that featured childhood photos of Luke and I.  It was such a fun way for friends and family to see each of us through the years and actually encouraged people to mingle around the reception to check them all out.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Luke: Take deep breaths during the day to quiet the nerves and fully enjoy the celebration.
Dana: I think every person who gave us wedding advice promised us that something would go wrong and not to let that worry us.  And they were right!  We had a few hiccups throughout the day, but none of them spoiled the wedding in any way.  At the end of the day we were married and surrounded by those we love, and that is all we needed!

Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Luke: Finishing my mother/son dance, which was heartfelt but pitiful, and watching Dana and Jeff tear it up on the dance floor.
Dana: Getting the first call that our wedding party was locked out of the church an hour before the ceremony. Then getting the second call that our pastor had climbed through a back window to break everyone into the church.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Both: Not a thing!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We spent a week in gorgeous Negril, Jamaica!
