At the beginning of November, I wrapped up my final wedding of 2012 with Brianna and Peter’s wedding in Gloucester. Their wedding was full of details that were special to them as a couple. This included everything from their location choices to the do-it-yourself details of the day!
It started with this necklace that Brianna made herself! Elements of this necklace were also tied into the girls’s jewelry that she also made herself:)!
Everything had a vintage feel, included the inn on the water where they got ready! When dad arrived the first tears of the day were shed…This town is where Brianna grew up and where her family still lives!Once were were done with our pictures, I headed to the church to meet the guys and grab a few pictures before the ceremony began..Brianna’s brother and one of Peter’s brothers lit all of the candles in the church. Another detail that Brianna and Peter made of the day (and one that I want to steal for my holiday decor:)!
I had such a hard time narrowing down these couple pictures, so I decided to just share them all!Did I mention that Brianna herself is a photographer? Take a peek back at their engagement session too!!We did all of the formals (couple, bridal party and families too:)! during cocktail hour, and cocktail hour was in full swing inside of the reception room! This just meant that when we first stepped foot inside, I did my best to get pictures of the details, around the guests! Here are a few of the details, I was able to capture!
Once the bridal party was announced the reception was in full swing! This would be the best-man doing his best to embarrass Peter during his speech:)The view outside of the Elks:)This group picture includes my connection to Peter and Brianna! Brittany & Tom (the second couple in from the left), had their wedding last December and Brianna and Peter were guests! I absolutely love seeing my past couples at current weddings:)! This was the dance that Brianna refers to in her answers below. Peter recorded a song for her and it was awesome!!
Brianna and Peter – thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your day! It was my first trip to Gloucester and I loved it! All of your hard work paid off and you had an amazing day! Congrats!!

Bride/Groom Questions
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Brianna: It’s hard to pick one because the whole day was filled with so many beautiful memories but I’d have to say my most memorable moment was when the DJ started playing a special surprise song that turned out to be Peter singing/playing his own rendition of “I won’t give up” by Jason Mraz. He included a verse he wrote himself. It was such a sweet and special surprise. A memory I will always cherish.
Peter: Brianna saying her vows to me. She’s given me some truly wonderful gifts during our relationship, but hearing her promise to love me forever was the greatest display of how much she cares. We went with the standard vows because we were too nervous to write our own, but the tradition carried a lot of weight. The fact that she CHOSE me to say those vows to, and the fact that she wanted all of her family and friends to know that she chose me, was the most memorable moment of the day.
What was your favorite detail?
Again, we had so many little details that we put into our special day it’s hard to pick one… I would say my favorites were the table centerpieces: collections of different sized vintage glass bottles that my father had collected since he was a child and birch branch candle holders that we made ourselves.
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Don’t let little mistakes bother you (ie: your floral arrangements not being the right colors) In the grand scheme of things it won’t matter at the end of the day. Brush the little mishaps off your shoulder and enjoy your day to the fullest!
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
The bridal party entrances at the reception, especially my brother moonwalking and nearly knocking over our wedding cake!
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Not a thing! It was everything we dreamed of and more!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
