Just a few short months ago, I got a call from Jessica – a friend of mine from high school and a fellow field hockey player! She was planning a small wedding on Saint Patrick’s Day in Boston! When we first started talking, I thought it was going to be very small and low key, but by the time the day rolled around it was a day filled with close friends and family AND she had put so much thought into the details and the flow of the day – it was fantastic:)!
We started getting ready in a room with quite a view:)! Jessica’s sister Courtney did her hair and kept everything right on schedule for when all the little ones arrived!
One of the many Irish touches to the day – these were attached to Jess’s bouquet…and all of the green accessories for the bride (including the shoe that her daughter got a hold of:)!Courtney’s helper, Sam, brought over their little guy (and if you can’t tell yet, they are expecting their second:)!
When Jess’s daughter arrived, she went right for her mama – adorable! She sat and snuggled with her (and observed the action) while Jess wrapped up the finishing touches!Courtney and their mom helped to get her dressed….she was so happy to have some free time standing and moving around! She is just so cute and SO content!Courtney and mom helped with the finishing touches…
Then we headed right next door to the church! Literally next door!In the last minutes of the ceremony, Sam appeared with their daughter! She had been feeding her a bottle and had perfect timing for a grand entrance just after her mom and dad had their first kiss! After the ceremony we squeezed in some family pictures and just a couple of Jess and Jay before heading back for a champagne and green beer reception:)Here are some of the layering of details that Jess brought in for the reception!
During the reception, Courtney’s husband and Jay, realized that they had chosen the same green socks for the day:)!Courtney and her family (one of my favorites of them – love the little mans outfit:) and Jess with one of her favorite little men too!During the reception there were a couple of toasts and a quick cake cutting too!A quick stolen moment between Jess and Jay…
and one between one of her good friends and her fiancé:)!After a couple of hours of socializing, Jess and Jay left to bells:) A town car was waiting for us, and it whisked us away! We headed across town to a favorite bar of theirs, and stopped for a few more pictures along the way! When we arrived, I headed in to the bar with them for just a few minutes….I grabbed a couple pictures of people arriving….
and gathered everyone that was there for a group shot:) I headed out, but they were there for a long and fun night that was just getting started:)
Jess and Jay, congratulations on your day and on your beautiful daughter!! It was great to see you again, and it honestly felt like no time had passed at all:)!
