On October 11th, I had the pleasure of photographing Ashley and Brian’s wedding! As I drove to Brian’s family’s home, it was DOWN-POURING – I spent the ride saying, “Please let it slow down, please let it slow down” and all of my positive thoughts worked – LOL! Amazingly, when the ceremony ended, so did the rain – it was perfect!
When I arrived to meet the guys, majority of them were there and fully dressed at 9:30am – I was extremely impressed! The remaining few got ready with Brian (it was a BIG bridal party:)! They were awesome the entire time I was with them – constantly joking and laughing and just having a great time together!
Brian’s mom and dad are fabulous – his mom is full of energy and spunk – so kind and just so much fun!! You may remember that is was around 9:30am:)! They were already in full swing – you would have thought it was 3pm in the afternoon:)!After Brian’s, I headed to his aunt’s house where Ashley and her girls were wrapping up getting ready….Ashley’s sister did her make-up for her….I headed to the church just a couple of minutes before Ashley and the girls, so that I could get them arriving….Brian and his brother were already tucked away in the back…and the little ones were roaming….what a cute moment:)!We ended up waiting a while for the girls to arrive because their huge bus had an unexpected problem as the girls were in it:)! Amazingly Brian’s family jumped in cars and went to go grab them all – it was actually very quick and efficient – fabulous family to the rescue:)!
After the ceremony they did a quick receiving line/gathering and then we headed to a park on the way to Alpine Country Club!As I mentioned before, the rain stopped while we were driving!! Perfect timing!! This was a great spot for some fall foliage, but we were quickly ushered off the road:( At least we got a full group shot before having to move:)!The girls insisted on joining the guys – it wasn’t my idea for that – not in the heels they were wearing – but they did it:)!!it ended up being a great spot for a few pictures of Ashley and Brian too:)!Brian’s brother is quite the ham:)! Never a dull moment with this group!
Here is the WHOLE group (with the exception of one little one)…it was one of my biggest of 2014:)
At Alpine, we did a few pictures with the golf cart and on their grounds before heading in for cocktail! We also did some family photos too!
Inside, the room was just about ready and cocktail had began!Outside the room, cocktail was buzzing – with the help of a few groomsmen and family members:)!Then the reception began…Brian’s brother pulled through with a great speech that made even me tear up – I love a close knit family:)!Ashley’s sister rocked it too and had quite a few fun laughs:)!During soup, the Dj and his wife had put together a fantastic slide-show with photos of Brian and Ashley growing up and throughout their relationship together – a big hit…Ashley danced with her mom…and Brian with his mom too:)!They did the garter and bouquet toss and everyone involved were totally into it – a fun little show:)!There were also several birthday’s that were honored with a presentation of little cakes!
Dancing was kicked off with a bridal party coordinated dance – such fun!Photobooth props that always seem to migrate to the dance floor:)!A final kiss before I bowed out:)!
Ashley and Brian – congratulations to you both…I wish you continued health and happiness:)!

Bride/Groom Questions
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
The most memorable moment of our day were the speeches that our MOH & Best Man gave! They brought us to tears! Also, I was late to church because our bus broke down! The girls had to be picked up in big vehicles by the family & brought to church. Thankfully it was resolved by the time church was over!
What was your favorite detail?
Brian’s favorite detail was the monogram done by our DJ. My favorite details would have to be my dress & my charm that was on my bouquet. It had a picture of my grandparents at their prom. My grandfather passed away in May & it made me feel like he was there with us!
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Just go with the flow! Things will happen that can’t be controlled & don’t let them get to you! We were there to marry each other, that was the most important thing! I can’t forget to mention that the day FLIES by!!! Take in every second because it will be over before you know it!
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Brian’s funniest memory was “The Final Countdown”. An inside joke between the boys! My funniest memory was the bus ride to Alpine! Everyone was celebrating & acting crazy! Being my clumsy self, I can’t wear ivory without getting it dirty! I spilt a red drink down the back of my dress!
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
We wouldn’t change a thing, except for the table linens that our florist goofed up on! Lol It was a perfect day because we got to spend it with each other & all the people that mean the world to us!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to a Sandals Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. It flew by just like the wedding! We had beautiful weather everyday and some much needed R&R after all that planning/stress! We had fun just spending time with each other & enjoying the sun!
