Lindsay & Kevin | Wedding at the Falmouth Yacht Club, Falmouth, MA

I had the pleasure of kicking off June with a fantastic couple down the Cape! After some crazy weather the weekend before, we woke up to a beautiful day that stayed beautiful for us the whole day!

This day happened to be my first time at the Falmouth Yacht Club and it was great! I started my day exploring the area and getting some detail shots of the room before heading over to meet up with the guys and gals!

Before the first-look, the guys had a tough morning:)! They spent it outside playing Bag-O (one of my favorites too:)! From the moment I met them, I knew it was going to be a great night – they are a fun bunch:)!

Kevin surprised Lindsay with roses and a heart-felt card – it was so sweet:)!Once the girls were ready, everyone assisted with Lindsay’s dress…Those dresses that lace up in the back can be a bit tricky, but with a bit of team work, they got it done:)!
Just a couple doors down, Kevin was starting to get ready too! I popped in to see how he was doing before we headed out for the first look!
The sun was beaming while we waited for Lindsay to arrive!I am a true sucker for a first-look – it is such a special moment and Kevin and Lindsay’s moment was fabulous! The wind was whipping and the girls were doing their best to not have a Marilyn Monroe moment (there may have still been just a couple:)!After getting almost all of our pictures done – the ceremony was about to begin…

Lindsay and Kevin enjoyed their cocktail hour – socializing and taking a few pictures before the reception kicked off!

It kicked off with a bunch of great entrances!

Lindsay and Kevin did a “cake” of Dynamite Sticks – they looked delicious:)!When the sun was setting we stepped outside for a few more pictures – evening light is THE best and it was totally worth it:) This is one of the bridesmaid’s fiancés (her name is Heather too!)! He was so much fun:)! I have another great shot of him later in the evening making muscles while Heather laughs off to the side:)!I have been dying for some cigars – to photograph, of course:)! When I saw them coming out I was giddy:)!These next set of images shows one of my favorite parts of the evening. The lady in focus is Lindsay’s grandmother and she is awesome – so sweet and kind. She was so happy to be there and was taking it all in. Kevin’s step-father was the ignitor of this fabulous moment when he decided to go right over to her and pull her right onto the dance floor. Lindsay, her sister, aunt and father all had their time dancing with her and she was loving every minute – it was fantastic! This dance floor was being torn up the whole night and they were a rowdy bunch! One of my favorite things that they did was chant. The center gentlemen is Lindsay’s father – Frank Cefali – and all of the guys would chant his name, “Frank Ce-fa-li, clap, clap, clap-clap-clap” – it was so much fun! They then turned it on to Lindsay and chanted her married name, “Lindsay Smith”.I had to include Kevin and some of his signature dance moves:)!I love this picture and it ties in to something Lindsay mentioned below! While dancing in a tight circle, Kevin was hamming it up for the camera and accidently bopped Lindsay in the mouth! He was so sorry and apologetic and this cute image followed! The night wrapped up with a final dance:)!

Lindsay and Kevin – thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your wedding! You have AWESOME family and friends!! It was a perfect day from start to finish and I couldn’t have asked for better people to work with!! Best wishes to you all!!

Bride/Groom Questions

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

L: Our first look! I remember my heart racing seconds before I saw Kevin. It was amazing to have this time for just the two of us.

K: the first look, seeing no one else but lindsay before the guests arrived

What was your favorite detail?

L: We had friends decorate the venue while we were preparing for our big day. What I saw when we first entered was amazing!! Oh, and the dynamite sticks… 🙂

K: our first dance song

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

L: The BEST piece of advice I received was to make sure that you and your husband/wife step away from all the excitement for a moment during the reception.  Stand in a corner and just take it all in. Be present in the moment and enjoy every minute!

K: keep it simple. the less there is to do on the day, or day before, the more time you’ll have to enjoy it!
Funniest memory from your wedding day?

L: My husband accidentally bopping my cheek, mid-dance move. I laughed so hard!!

K: Lindsay’s Grandmother dancing, the “frank cefali” chant.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

L: Not a single thing!! Everything was exactly as I had imagined it to be!

K: No.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Martha’s Vineyard
