This wedding is near and dear to me…not only is it a fellow Foxboro graduate, but he is from my time at FHS! I have known Erik and his friends for many years now, and I had the pleasure to get to know his whole family when I shot his sister’s wedding in June! My first time meeting Melissa came during our first meeting, but since then I have spent a bit of time with her! We can even say that we traveled to Marco Island ” together” (not on the same flight:) for our friend’s, Nick & Haley’s wedding! August 18th rolled around, and it was finally their turn for their day and I couldn’t have been more excited for it!
We had a whole plan mapped out for the day, so that I could physically be with them and not following in my car! It worked out perfectly! I started with the guys at the hotel and was greeted with this view of Boston from their room…
Loved the cuff links:)LOVE this shot and it happened naturally:)This one, not so organically….it was my idea…can you tell?! Love the Ray-BansWhen the guys headed to the church, I hopped in with them and they dropped me off at Melissa’s house on the way! I walked in to this….dress being put on, flowers being delivered and slight hum of organized chaos!
Just before we started some pictures of Melissa and her girls, her mother helped to put a special pin on her bouquet! One of the little touches that I loved was that the church was in her parent’s neighborhood and we all WALKED to the church!! When Melissa described it, she said it was only a five minute walk but that was actually an OVER-estimate! I think it was literally 3 minutes at MOST (and I loved every minute of it….so cool!)!Once back on the limo-bus, the party began!
A light sprinkle didn’t deter us from getting some bridal party pictures outside:)!
As we wrapped up those pictures, the rain really started to come down….clear umbrella to the rescue (thank you Ashley Roy:)!
After the speeches, it stopped raining, so we took a few minutes to step outside the tent and grab a few more pictures without an umbrella:)!As soon as the dance floor opened, Melissa’s mom was one of the first people out there leading the way:)!When the sun peeked through, we quickly headed back outside for a couple of sunset pictures!People were outside enjoying the sunset and inside inside filling up the dance floor! If you are from Foxboro you may recognize these guys from the class of 98!These are Melissa’s friends from Allston too (I actually don’t know what year she graduated though:)!The dance floor was full for the entire night…there are SOOO many crazy dancing shots…I don’t think I have ever included this many in a preview and I had to cut back before posting it:)!There are quite a few skyline pictures in the post too! It looked so different throughout the day, so I had to include them! It was also the main reason that Erik and Melissa chose this venue and I know it was important to them:)!
