Katherine and Pat were married on the first official weekend of summer and they had a beautiful day for it! Their day started and ended at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor Hotel, with a trolley ride to the ceremony in between!
When I first saw Katherine’s dress, I thought it was perfect for her, but I truly didn’t realize how perfect until she put it on – it was STUNNING!!
Katherine’s sweet mother and sister helped her into her dress…
While I was capturing the Katherine, my second photographer for the day – Steph Stevens – arrived to capture the guys:)
Back in Katherine’s suite, Katherine had her turn signing her name and wedding day in her family’s traditional wedding book (Bible – I believe).
Truly stunning – all I could think all day was that I was at a Royal wedding:)
Katherine’s father came in for a “first-look” with his daughter before we headed outside to see Pat for the first time.
The wind was whipping and the sun was bright for our photos, but we made everything work as best as we could:)
We grabbed a couple of quick photos of just Katherine and Pat with the city back drop (such an amazing view from the Hyatt Boston Harbor) and then we wrapped up with family photos before heading to the church!
This was Steph’s angle:)
This little guy ran over to greet his Auntie (and new uncle:) as we came back over for family photos – adorable!
Then he hung with his dad for a few minutes:)
When we were doing photos, I went to move the back of Katherine’s dress and found a ladybug – instead of leaving it/moving it, I mentioned it to Katherine as a sign of good luck but it turns out that it was even more! A special sign for her and her family so everyone was so happy:)
The guys headed over to the church a few minutes before us in a shuttle and then we followed…
We were greeted with a bag piper and gorgeous arrangements leading into the church by Judy’s Village Flowers…
This was the CUTEST!! Katherine’s nephew chased his dad up the isle because he was holding one of his little cars in his hand! It was perfect! He ran right up, held his hand and smiled at everyone as they walked the rest of the way together!
He even handed off the ring box too:)
While I was getting the straight on photos – I love the slightly different angle Steph grabbed! We were literally only a foot or two apart on the trolley too!
When we arrived back to the Hyatt, we finalized our plans to get a water taxi and I am SO happy that we did! Their taxi arrived with some guests arriving for their wedding!
This was my first time on a water taxi and it was fabulous! I love that you can get a different view of your venue – Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor!
I love that you can see Pat playing with his NEW ring in this picture:) It is that new ring feel that gets everyone!
Gorgeous bouquet from Judy’s Village Flowers:)!
Could this water taxi have gone any better?! Venue view, Boston view, sailboats, yachts and a fabulous couple! Perfection!
And as you can see – I couldn’t narrow it down – there are just so many fabulous moments and views!
My new recommendation for my Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor Weddings….Make time for a water taxi:)
As we walked off the water taxi, Hak (the best man:) greeted us with a very important document – their marriage license!
Steph covered cocktail hour while I went in for the details that were just putting on the finishing touches!
The ballroom at the Hyatt Boston Harbor had a recent update and looks fabulous!
Katherine and Pat had their wedding party enter as a big group – my second wedding this year to do it this way:)!
Then the reception kicked off with Katherine and Pat’s entrance and first dance!
Katherine’s grandfather gave the blessing and dinner was served with a few speeches mixed in:)
After dinner Katherine and Pat danced with their parents and the dancing kicked off!
Night Rythm kept the dance floor packed!
Ummmm…WOW!! Everyone was impressed by this kick:)
Just before it was time for me to head out, this happened! Such a cool moment!!
Katherine and Pat – thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of your day! It was fantastic from start to finish and every moment in between!
What was your favorite detail?
It is so hard to pick one but you just can’t beat that view from the Hyatt.
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Try not to sweat the small stuff and enjoy it all. It really does go by too fast.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
I surprised Pat with an American Flag that he loves dancing to born in the USA too, he was very shocked and it was a good moment.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Nothing, the day was perfect and I couldn’t imagine it being any better.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Bermuda.
