Last weekend, just hours before the snow storm, Meaghan and Joe had the perfect day for their engagement session! It has been tentatively in the calendar for months and on our first try, it worked out perfectly:)!
Meaghan and I had been chatting since she started to plan her wedding because we already know each other! She has a FANTASTIC group of girl friends (from our hometown of Foxboro:) and she has been in a couple of their weddings (that I photographed:) and a guest at another! I have even met her parents at some of these weddings and had the pleasure of photographing Meaghan’s whole family last year at their home! It feels like I have known her since high school:)!!
I have been waiting and hoping that I would get a message when Meaghan got engaged, and my hope came true:)! I am so EXCITED to be a part of her (and Joe’s:) day!
For their engagement session, we headed to Wareham…this location is near and dear to Joe and his whole extended family because they meet up here and rent homes every summer! We started off in front of the most recent house (that I believe they have rented several times:) and then we headed just across the street to the beach they spend the week on!
Take a peek at our time together below!

How did he propose | He ruined his own birthday weekend, haha! Meaghan was taking Joe to New York City for his birthday and had a full itinerary planned – including a show at the Comedy Cellar and tickets to see Book of Mormon. Little did she know that he had plans of his own!
Right before they were set to leave the hotel for the Comedy Cellar, Meaghan asked Joe how she looked for their night out, and he replied that she looked good…but that she was missing something. She just assumed he was talking about the scarf she was wearing earlier and started to look for it. Once Meaghan realized that Joe was getting something out of his overnight bag, she started freaking out and asked if he was about to do something crazy. Joe replied that yes he was, in fact, about to do something crazy before getting down on one knee and proposing. They spent the rest of the weekend laughing, celebrating, and wondering how both sides of the family were actually able to keep this all a secret from Meaghan.
