Elisabeth and Matt were married on May 1, 2015 at Independence Harbor in Assonet, MA. It was a gorgeous spring day full of sunshine and a hint of a chilly breeze (but I think the bridesmaids would argue that it was more than a hint chilly at times:)!
Our day started at Elisabeth’s childhood home – the girls were wrapping up their hair and make-up and everyone was getting ready to put on their dresses… Elisabeth helped her mother into her dress and then Mom and the girls helped Elisabeth into hers.I love this picture because to me, it is totally Elisabeth! She was so easy going about the whole day! An impromptu moment – I walked into the room to find dad holding the bouquet while Elisabeth helped straighten him out:)When this car arrived, I was in love:)
Mom, Dad and Elisabeth rode to the church in the car, while the girls traveled in a limo..I was able to photograph the car heading out of the neighborhood through my own windshield:)The girls made their entrances, along with Matt’s niece, then then the ceremony began!Matt and Elisabeth’s best man and maid of honor rode with them to Independence Harbor…
During cocktail, we photographed the guys, the whole bridal party, Elisabeth and Matt and the families – busy, busy:)Inside, the tables were set and everyone was enjoying some cocktails and apps:)
These photos were just a few of the frames that were displayed throughout the room…Look at how ADORABLE toddler Matt is:)During the speeches, the girls got up and sang, “Thank you for being a friend” – the Golden Girls theme song…I literally had goosebumps and it brought tears to my eyes – it was adorable and so heartfelt with this fabulous group of ladies!
Elisabeth also gave an impromptu speech from the heart and had the whole room laughing! Some photo booth fun during dinner:)Parent dances kicked off a night full of dancing, dancing and more dancing:)!
Elisabeth & Matt – I wish you two the best – and both of your families too:)!

Bride/Groom Questions
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Elisabeth – I would say getting ready with my bridesmaids but also walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Matt at the altar, looking handsome and smiling
What was your favorite detail?
Elisabeth – My favorite detail would be the cake as I picked it out and it came out perfect. I also loved all the family/ childhood pictures of myself and Matt that were put out .
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Elisabeth – My advice to future brides/ grooms would be just to relax and enjoy as much of the day as possible. It’s a celebration so don’t forget that and have fun with your guests. To me, it felt like what it must be like to be a celebrity for a day( in a good way) and of course be grateful and humble as your family is doing this all for you.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Elisabeth – Funniest memory for me- well if you consider putting Matt’s wedding band on the wrong finger funny then there you go. I also enjoyed my maid of honors sing a long to the golden girls theme.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Elisabeth – I don’t think I would change anything about the day-initially I wanted to elope or do a destination wedding but Matt and our families wanted a traditional wedding. The whole process was somewhat of a struggle for me as I wasn’t a fan of picking out stuff and planning but I’m glad we did what we did. It all turned out perfect and everyone had a great day.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Elisabeth – For our honeymoon, we went to secrets wild orchid Montego Bay, Jamaica and it was one of the best vacations I have ever been on. Highly recommend this place to anyone.
