Our day started off bright and early for Kim and Alex’s wedding at Gibbet Hill! Even though it was early, everyone was wide awake and laughing together:)!A few last minute touch-ups, while Kim was getting her hair done…Practically across the hall, Alex was getting ready too…He had written a note to Kim on the bottom of her shoe…love the original idea:)We headed over to Gibbet Hill ahead of the guys because Kim decided to get her dress on their!I absolutely love Gibbet Hill…I love the rustic feel of the barn and the gorgeous land it sits on:)! Kim’s details fit in so well with the look and feel of the barn!Kim and Alex made the call to have the ceremony on the lawn…even though showers were looming. They made the right call! Everything worked out perfectly! It did start pouring while we were in the reception, but it was fabulously after we were done with what we needed outside:)!
The reception began inside of the barn…We scooted outside during dinner for just a couple of pictures in front of the barn!Kim and Alex both danced with their moms! I just love this one of Alex and his mom…it the perfect depiction of his mom’s love and emotion that she was feeling the whole day….it was an emotional one for her:)!Although Kim’s hopes of having the cows in the backdrop of her ceremony pictures didn’t pan out, they did make an appearance just before the rain began!
During a down moment, I borrowed the rings, bouquet, favors and part of the centerpieces for a few more detail pictures! I love these!
Kim and Alex – congratulations!! Your day was fantastic from start to finish! I wish you two the best:)!
